Fees and Payment
It is the Student's responsibility to ensure that the University College’s Tuition Fees, Accommodation Fees and Accommodation Booking Fee in respect of the Course (as stated in the University College Tuition Fee document or other fees documents supplied to the Student and as reviewed and revised each Academic Year) are paid in each Academic Year of the Course. Unless the University College agrees otherwise in writing the Fees should be paid at the beginning of the Academic Year, whether directly by the Student, or on the Student's behalf by a third party (such as a relative, employer or other sponsor). An 'Academic Year' shall mean the yearly period of the Course, the dates of which shall be notified to the Student by the University College.
It is the Student's responsibility to ensure that Continuing Professional Development Fees and Lifelong Learning Fees in respect of the Course (as displayed in this online payment facility) are paid in full through this online payment facility.
It is the Student's responsibility to ensure payment of all Fees (whether being paid directly by the Student, or on the Student's behalf by a third party such as a relative, employer or other sponsor) are paid in accordance with these Terms.
The payment of any sums intended to be in respect of Fees by or on behalf of the Student does not in itself indicate the existence of a contract between the University College and the Student which contract shall only come into being when the University College has given notification of acceptance of the Student upon a Course.
All payments are subject to the following conditions:-
Your payment will normally reach the University College account to which you are making a payment within five working days.
We cannot accept liability for a payment not reaching the University College account due to your quoting an incorrect account number or incorrect personal details.
Neither can we accept liability if payment is refused or declined by the debit/credit card supplier for any reason.
If the card supplier declines payment, the University College is under no obligation to bring this fact to your attention. You should check with your bank/debit/credit card supplier that payment has been deducted from your account.
All payments made through this Online Payment Facility must be made in pounds sterling. Any currency conversion costs or other charges incurred in making the payment or in processing a refund shall be borne by the Student or the third party making payment, and shall not be deductible from the amounts due to the University College.
Cancellation Policy
The student has the right to cancel and withdraw during a 14-day period from the date the contract is entered into (notification of acceptance of the Student upon a Course).
Refunds
We regret that fees for courses provided by Continuing Professional Development and Lifelong Learning cannot be refunded except when a course does not run or if your application is rejected because the course is full. The University College is unable to refund fees when, for whatever reason, the student fails to attend.
Continuing Professional Development and Lifelong Learning refunds can only be made in exceptional circumstances where documentary evidence is provided and are at the discretion of the University College.
Any partial or full refunds are processed without undue delay, and within 14 days from your agreement that a refund is due.
If the student leaves the University College, or cancels their contract with the College before they complete their course, any entitlement to a refund of tuition fees will be made in line with the
University College tuition fee policy prevailing at any time the student leaves. Such refunds only apply to the tuition fees paid in respect of the academic year in which the student leaves.
Refunds, if applicable, will only be made to the debit/credit card used for the original transaction.
