It is important to be 'present' as a teacher and there are a range of simple teaching strategies that we can use to achieve this using blended learning. Lead practitioners will work together to role model and demonstrate the various approaches to teacher presence and interactivity. By the end of the course, you will be able to launch your Seesaw site with some simple activities and a robust plan for teaching for the future. The course will run for four sessions offering evening access for teachers with home schooling responsibilites at this time.
CPD973: Developing a Video Lesson for Primary using Book Creator and Explain Everything

If you want to bring the curriculum or topic alive using indoor or outdoor teaching strategies and technology rich tools, this is a first step toward engagement for your pupils and families. The very experienced tutor and Master of Teaching graduate from Stranmillis will offer an insight into her experience of working with stimulus variation techniques leading to 100% engagement during Covid 19. She will demonstrate strategies that helped develop learning-centred solutions including 'books coming alive', 'number context techniques' and 'outdoor rich learning' for children and young people. Assessment can be active, engaging, fun and progressive. The course will be led by a Google trained practitioner with expertise in a range of subject areas. Our sessions will be engaging and practical as well as informative and supportive of your requirements. The course will pace learning and allow practitioners opportunities to trial and evaluate the various apps for assessment and Google Classroom.
